The Panorama Student Survey and the Panorama Student Success platform are valuable parts of DCPS’s work. They are entirely voluntary, and students who are not comfortable answering can skip them. These questions help the district promote equitable treatment for all students in accordance with our Transgender and Gender-Nonconforming Policy Guidance. As in previous years, the survey asks students in grades 6-12 about their gender and sexual identity. Your child’s name will never be used in reports.

Your child’s privacy will be protected to the extent allowed by law. Your child’s grades will not be affected by his/her/their responses. This survey asks only for your child’s honest experience and opinions. Your child is not required to participate, but the feedback would be very valuable. This survey is voluntary and confidential. This week, every Deal student will be able to take the survey by signing in with their student ID at. Peoria Public School guidance counselors and social workers trained to properly read, analyze and develop conclusions of students' Panorama screening results at the October 31 School Improvement Day (SIP).Twice a year, DCPS asks students in grades 3 and higher to complete a survey about social-emotional learning, the Panorama Student Survey, to help better understand what students think about their school experiences and their social and emotional learning. Educators will be able to use this data to grow their students as individuals by focusing on social-emotional outcomes using Panorama’s platform and resources. Teachers and principals can use Panorama’s reporting and analytics to understand how their students and schools are doing. The information from the SEL screener will provide a high-level picture of SEL at each school, including strengths and opportunities for growth. Districts and schools can administer Panorama’s SEL measures to students in English and Spanish. Each measure consists of several questions or prompts for students or teachers.

These measures were developed by Panorama’s research team with support from research partners at UC Santa Barbara, the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, Transforming Education and the CORE districts. The SEL screener will be measuring four competencies for students 2 nd grade – high school: Panorama’s SEL measures have been used with more than 600,000 students in the United States, with strong findings of validity and reliability.
